Torkington House

Torkington House is an elegant Edwardian House that was originally opened in 1947. The home is situated in a peaceful tree-lined road in Acton, West London and is accessible to public transport and shops. It has been redeveloped with the addition of a new dining room, a second sitting room and a new wing to accommodate 32 residents in total. The gardens are an added attraction to both residents and their visitors.

This project involved the complete refurbishment and re-design of the kitchen area. 

New equipment installed included an Electric Combination Steam Oven, Twin Pan 2 x 7ltr Gas Fryer, 1200W Microwave, Food Holding Cabinet, Refrigeration, Waste Bin with Hinged Lid and the kitchen was finished with Stainless Steel Wall Cladding. 

Other equipment supplied included an 18 litre Water Boiler, Benches, Wall Shelves and a Floorless Cold Room (1500x2400) complete with 4 Tier Shelving System. An existing 6 Burner Gas Oven Range was re-used. 

The preparation area received a Mobile Bench, Twin Bowl Veg Prep Sink, Waste Bin with Hinged Lid, Chef’s Table with Top Recess for Chopping Board and Wash Hand Basin, plus Racking and Shelving.

The Servery was furnished with an Electric Salamander Grill, Counter Fridge with Castors, Wall Cupboard with Sliding Doors, Bench with Full Bay of Drawers, Centre Bench with Clean Crockery Cupboard Over and a Hand Wash Basin.

Dish & Potwashing equipment included Dishwash Inlet Tabling including a Waste Disposal Unit, Pass-Through Dishwasher with Softener, Tabling and a Single Bowl Potwash Sink.
